Renewing Light Counseling and Wellness is a practice dedicated to providing a safe, empathetic space for exploration, healing, and growth. We will explore the impact of the past on your current life, sense of self, and relationship with others. My desire is to help you feel supported, empowered, and inspired to move forward at your own pace and create the life you desire. Sessions are individually tailored to support your journey.
Meet the Clinician
Hi, I'm Kristin Terrell, and I am looking forward to meeting you. Whatever your reason for seeking out therapy, I would love to journey alongside you. My goal in session is to provide a warm space to help build connection and provide feedback in an empathic and nonjudgmental frame where you can feel understood, supported, and empowered.
After earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Baker University, I dedicated 18 years of my life to helping young students feel confident and empowered and guided them to discover the leader inside each one of them. My passion for helping people grew and led me to pursue a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University.
My journey has equipped me with valuable experiences and a diverse set of skills to address the unique challenges individuals face. My heart’s passion lies in helping individuals achieve mental wellness. Every individual’s journey is unique, and I am committed to providing a supportive, compassionate space to support a variety of needs. I would love to provide a secure and collaborative space of growth and wellness for you.
During our time together, I want to help you express and explore difficult emotions, strengthen relationships with yourself and others, and develop healthy communication, boundaries, and coping skills. I can also help you gain insight into connections between your past experiences and current issues so you can make lasting changes.
During our first session, I will go over consent and confidentiality and allow you to share as much as you feel comfortable sharing about yourself and what you are hoping to gain from therapy. It is important to me that you feel comfortable so there will be space for any question you may have.
I am looking forward to speaking with you.
